Top Ten Most Asked Questions

Question 8 has been updated

After receiving hundreds of emails over the past few years, I have decided to put together this Top 10 list of questions with the hopes of answering your questions about myself, and my work.  Here you will find the most asked questions of J. D. Willd.

I do my best to answer every email I receive personally, but I have to admit that sometimes it gets a little hard between work, and the lack of free time. So, after great thought, I decided to share this page with you, enjoy.

Q1 - How many books have you written so far?

A1 - To date, I have written around thirty-eight books.

Q2 - How many books of poetry are you going to write?

A2 - I have completed five works of poetry, however I cannot say for sure that this will be my last one, yet I do not plan to write more.

Q3 - Is writing a novel easier than writing poetry?

A3 - Yes, when I sit down to write a novel I know up front that I have weeks, and maybe even months, of hard work ahead of me, but when I write a collection of poems I question myself long after the project ends wondering if I could have done a better job. That doesn't really happen when I write a novel, because I know that I put my heart and soul into my work every time.

Q4 - Did you have a hard time talking about your mother while you were promoting "Angel"?

A4 - Yes, anytime I had to discuss my mother I had to fight back the tears. I loved her more than I could ever express with words.

Q5 - How much do you date, and are you involved with anyone?

A5 - I don't really have the time for dating, and relationships are very personal so I'm going to keep that answer to myself.

Q6 - What does your family think about you being an author and a poet?

A6 - My family has always been very supportive of my work, and I love them for it. However, my mother and son have always been my number one fans, and my son still is to this day.

Q7 - Why do you always seem to wear a "relay for life" cap in your interviews?

A7 - I wear the cap to show my support of a wonderful cause.

Q8 - When are you going to release a novel?

A8 - I have a new novel coming out this year - 2018.

Q9 - Where do you see yourself ten years from now?

A9 - Well, I would love to be on the NY Times bestsellers list, and have several books in stores around the world. Mostly though, I want to still be writing ten years from now.

Q10 - Who is your favorite author and why?

A10 - I love many writers for many reasons, but if I had to choose one, I would have to say Anne Rice. I enjoy her style of writing because like myself she writes what she feels. I loved The Vampire Chronicles, the Mayfair Witches and The Christ the Lord series. I find myself falling in love with her christian fiction a little more with each book.
